Resumen

El presente artículo relaciona algunos de los principales factores que contribuyeron al relevo generacional exitoso de la primera a la segunda generación de una empresa familiar en Bogotá. Además, se presenta un breve marco conceptual, su importancia y su participación en el mercado colombiano. En él se pone de manifiesto la importancia del papel del predecesor, el sucesor y la familia, la relación entre los factores familiares y la planeación de la sucesión, así como la relación entre esta y los resultados de la sucesión. Finalmente, se sugieren acciones y factores específicos para preparar su sucesión.
