Resumen
Este documento presenta una revisión de literatura de la gestión de las redes sociales por parte de las empresas, especialmente en el ámbito de la comunicación de marca aplicada a las IES. Se ha realizado un arqueo bibliográfico a partir de la consulta de diferentes fuentes de información secundaria para establecer las características, modelos y recomendaciones que establece la literatura en la gestión de la redes sociales como herramienta de comunicación cuyo énfasis es Facebook, Twitter e Instagram como principales plataformas digitales. De acuerdo al estudio realizado por comScore y presentado por la IAB (2016) que refiere el porcentaje de interacción de las redes sociales otorgando predominio por Facebook (79%), seguido por Twitter (16%) e Instagram (5%).
